I began passing blood in my urine. That’ll scare the daylights outta ya.

Went in for a biopsy, stayed for the removal, never looked back. God is good!

Now every 6 months I get scoped. After the last Doc says every 12 for a scope every 6 for a pee test. Boy am I gonna miss getting scoped. The thing looks like a straw and feels like a sewer line.

The fog had liftedViews: 257

Yesterday just sucked! But I went home, got comfy and slid under my blanket for a long nap, then I got up and went to bed. This morning I feel much better.

Today is my day with the therapist. I appreciate having a new insight into my inner most workings. This is all new to me, but I came to a place where I was overwhelmed, so I went looking for some help.

I think we would all be better off if we regressed a bit. remember when naps were mandatory and everyone had their own blanket? I mean how cool is that. My wife made me an afghan right after we got married (23 years), she made it out of all scrap yarn and it is the ugliest blanket on earth. But it has sat on the back of every chair I have had since the day she gave it to me. It is my blanky and I will beat up anyone who tries to take it…insert pouty face and stomping feet here…lol.

Anyway a long nap and I am much better. Be loved and I will check on ya’ll in the morning.

Mac

Hi there Mac.
I have not heard it called a blanky for a long time. Yes some times that is what you need to make you comfy. You made my day. So off to the Nap I go.

Hug sherri

Mac sometimes a good nap can make all the difference. I think I will allow myself one today.

i like your blanky story mac and i’m proud of you for dragging it around all these years, it shows a lot of love.

sorry mac i clicked it a few times because it did not want to send it to you. forgive me it is my first day with my new stem cells.

Hey Mac, thanks for the inspiring words on my post by the way :)

Naps, mmm I took at least 4 seperate ones yesterday it made me feel better as well as passed the time in which I had nothing to do. I have a blanky as well, they are quite the comfort.

As for a therapist; this idea has been running circles in my mind. The idea sounds like something I’d like to try out, just to pour my heart out and not feel the guilt of dumping it on someone who doesn’t get paid to listen, hehe.

I hope all goes well and that blanky never gets a big rip in it. What a horrid idea! Sorry I mentioned such things.

No worries about the blanky, it is crocheted so it is repairable. Man, that took a load of my mind…

your banky story warmed me up, too cute if you i can say that word to another grown man ;)

therapists are amazing, although i am married to one and at times i forget she is one (she’s known to burn water at times) letting go works wonders as you have seen.

enjoy your weekend mac!

hand made blankets are the best kind… especially when they are made of scrap yarn by someone who loves you. Enjoy the blankey. I’m going to go cuddle up with mine now. Of course, I knit my own… for me… at a time when I needed lots of healing. It worked.

Mac, Where are you? Miss you. I hope everything is ok.
I am behind in reading my posts so I am just getting to yours of March 18.
Naps are good. I LOVE THEM. My daughter says I nap too much.
That is a wonderful blanky story. They are so nice, aren’t they?
Take care of yourself and let us all at the blog hear from you when you can. My prayers and thoughts are with you.
Hugs, Joyce

My Girlfriend loves her Blanky still, too this day she snuggles with it when she is feeling down.

Naps rule! So do good therapissts.

It’s funny, you’ve had a huge amount of responses from people regarding such a simple yet understandable topic! You Rock!

Tim
