Sorry for the lack of postings and such. I faithfully read every blog post and keep yall in prayer, however I have been rather overwhelmed at the suffering I have seen of late.
Not just here, but in so many places, I see suffering that threatens to wash over people, like a giant wave. People all around us are hurting and alone and vunerable, I just got bogged down.
I remember a story of a child, who was saving starfish. One by one, he threw then back into the ocean. A passerby asked him if he thought he was making a difference, as the beach was full of stranded starfish and he could not hope to save them all. The boy replied, “I am making a difference to everyone I can.”
I pray we can remember that differences are not measured in volume. Rahter, they are measured in single, small, loving touches.
Be well my friends and show love in each opportunity life gives you.

I simply adore every post you put up. They are always filled with such positivity and it’s always so well written. You manage to doge the hallmark ways and make them so deep, sincere, and personal. I’m glad you posted, I was missing them and your wit.
Head up, bad things happen to good people but it’s just a temporary set back for a better life ahead.
After reading many of your posts (catching up). I really admire your outlook on not letting others affect your ability to focus on yourself.( any tips on that would be greatly appreciated)I love your sense of humor and you really do have a gift of way with words. I always look foward to reading your profound thoughts. Patty :-)
Mac,
I have finally taken the time to read your blog and it has given me great pleasure and my friend and I many laughs! I feel like you are sharing from the soul.
However, I want to know if you have seen the tee shirt that says “I’m Not Dead Yet” We need to keep that as a positive attitude.
Blessings,
Betty
Hello Mac,
I am a friend of Bettys, I to also really enjoy your posts. Your journey has many winding roads which seem very exciting. Hang in their and stay positive. When times are tough.
When everything is broken, it’s easy to find plenty of things you can fix. When nothing seems to be going right, even the most basic positive effort can make a noticeable difference.
Times of great difficulty and challenge are also times of great opportunity. When there are problems in every direction, there is also much value waiting to be created.
When all is going well, it’s easy to get lulled into a sense of complacency. It’s easy to forget how truly capable and resourceful you can be.
Difficult times are not much fun. Yet they can give you great and valuable insights into what’s truly important.
There is much to be gained when times are good. There is even more to be gained when times are tough.
Resolve to persevere and grow stronger through whatever difficulties may come. For though the difficulties will eventually end, the treasures they compel you to create can often last a lifetime.
Denise
Your words are inspiring.
Just catching up on the last week of July’s posts as I was vacationing on Lake Huron with family. There is a whole coastline of pure white sandy beaches with aqua water, like a Caribean vacation retreat. Yes Canada has some magnificent spots. The sunsets were breathtaking. Great balls of crimson fire. Warm splashing amongst the mini surf. Evening bonfires, singing and so on. The soul was rejuvenated. I am to say the least exhausted having read so many posts upon my return. I have a pang of depression having taken in all of the pain that people are feeling and going through. I think I should take up bike riding! Yes you are the man we rely on to take us to humourland and find something funny in the worst of times. It is however, understandable that you had to take a break from all of this as you needed to gain some new strength somewhere else. Ok, now that you are back – we love you Mac and that is no understatement here. Thanks for your honesty, as it keeps us in check to always be open and truthful. I hope you feeling slightly better and that the wind on your cheeks is full of grace. Weezie
